Doctor Who Spin Off Series -Torchwood

Torchwood (anagram fans will like the title) is a 13-part drama series aimed at a post-watershed audience set in the same 'universe' as Doctor Who.

Best of all it will see the return of John Barrowman as Captain Jack

Torchwood is a British sci-fi paranoid thriller, a cop show with a sense of humour," says Davies.

"It's dark, wild and sexy, it's the X Files meets This Life. It's a stand-alone series for adult audiences which will have its own unique identity.

"I have just begun working on the scripts with a team of writers and cannot wait to see the results."

It appears that there will be nods from Doctor Who to Torchwood there will be no cross over stories - as Torchwood is aimed at the adult audience so i wouldn't be fair on the younger (target) audience of Doctor Who.
