Ride The Blade is the kind of album you would get if you had an all-out heavy-as-hell hardcore band, (Hatebreed, for example), that eventually decided that they wanted to play black metal instead of hardcore. This is, essentially a black metal album, but with a hard/noisecore kinda feeling in places, mainly due to the cfact that the songs are quite short, and the vocals are, (mostly), shouted, rather than the usual black metal raspy-screams. Spiritually, this is the brother of Anaal Nathrakh's 'The Codex Necro' - both are evil as hell black metal albums that don't care about anything and hate everything! Which is nice. The difference being that Anaal Nathrakh come from a black metal background, and Teen Cthulhu, apparently anyway, come from more of a hardcore background. Don't let that put you off though; this IS evil as hell music, and if you're into the less-polished evil-sounding type of black metal, then you need this album.
