Product Description
Taut IRA thriller based on the book by Gerald Seymour and set during the height of the recent troubles in Northern Ireland.
Sean McAnally (Anthony Brophy) is a reluctant IRA man, but when he's forced to carry out one last mission and captured shortly afterwards he faces the biggest decision of his life. His code says he won't talk even if it means life in prison, but under pressure from a tough RUC police officer (Timothy Dalton - The Living Daylights, Licence To Kill, Hot Fuzz) and befriended by a sympathetic Britsish officer (Cary Elwes, - Hot Shots, The Princess Bride) he turns informant.
Now all he has to do is to keep himself and his family alive until after the trial..no easy matter when the IRA see him as a traitor and want him dead at any cost.
Directed by Jim McBride (Breathless, The Big Easy) it's a very well-acted and powerful film boasting a very atypical role from Timothy Dalton as well as a great score from Irish folk-rockers 'The Pogues & Shane MacGowan'.
