this is a very good movie, quite enjoyable, indulging and one of those movies that always leave a trace behind deep in you after you watch them. I thought the characters were portrayed very well, and the focus itself on the period was really good.
As a movie, this is excellent, but when it comes to facts, it has many flaws that contradict the reality of the issue.
For instance: the expedition to examine the eclipse took place in Brazil, in Sobral to be specific, and in Africa, not just Africa.
Second: the film makes it look like Arthur Stanley Eddington is the one who did all the effort and proved the theory, and put Einstein on the map. Sorry, this is hardly true, and far from reality.
Third, it is known that a later scrutiny of the photos taken by Eddington's expedition showed the experimental uncertainty to be of about the same magnitude as the effect Eddington claimed to have demonstrated, and another British expedition in the late 1920s showed that his method was flawed and inaccurate. Einstein's theory that gravitation is distortion of the structure of space/time by matter, affecting the inertial motion of other matter came earlier than it appears to have done in this film, though was only a theory, and was proved later.

Anyways, disregarding these points, the movie is enjoyable and quite interesting, reminds me of When Nietzsche Wept, which was also a fantastic movie, and both left a good impression. Highly recommended.
