Amazon.co.uk Review

For those who found 2004's Aliens vs. Predator too lightweight in the gore-and-guns department, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem offers a marked improvement in both categories, as well as a respectable amount of rumbles between the title extraterrestrials. Set in the 21st century (which predates the story to all of the Alien features), Requiem sends a crippled Predator ship crashing to Earth in a small Colorado town; unbeknownst to the locals, the craft is loaded with H.R. Giger's insectoid monsters, which make quick work of most of the population. As the human cast is slowly whittled to a few hardy (if unmemorable) souls, a Predator warrior also arrives to complicate matters and do battle with the Aliens, as well as a ferocious Alien-Predator hybrid (dubbed a Predalien by the sci-fi and horror press).

Visual-effects designers and music-video helmers The Strause Brothers (who make their feature directorial debut here) keep the action on frantic throughout, which is wise, since the dialogue and characters are threadbare at best; that should matter little to teenage male viewers, who are inarguably the film's key audience. Fans of the Alien franchise, however, may find the offhanded nod to the series' mythology given during the finale its sole saving grace. --Paul Gaita, Amazon.com

This Series rocks and you know, unless you dont know a good movie whilst you're watching it!
Review date: 2008-11-12 Rating: 10 out of 10

Alien, Aliens, Alien3, Alien Resurrection, Predator, Predator 2, Alien VS Predator And Alien VS Predator 2 are all good movies..

Firstly, those who say they are all completely rubbish, with stupid Plots, etc...and anymore rubbish litter from those insane reviewers,
basicly, you dont know what you are talking about, they all have good Story Plots, they are all brilliantly cast, Directed etc.. all directed by different Directors too!

All these are great movies, with good plots and such..

Alien, did have one gun in it..if you cared to notice, although it was a flame thrower, it still counts as a weapon! It had a slow build up to it's sequel's plot,

Aliens.. Plenty of Aliens, Thats great for me, and it worked well becos they came back to protect Ripley, But Ripley nearly found herself in the same situation...from Alien, well, almost..

Alien3, She Found herself on a collision course to a near planet with a Prison, All because Of the Aliens, And she tried to warn everybody there before she was going to be tooken back But nobody would believe her,
so it all happened and she ended up killing herself becos she felt a fear in the previous films that Weyland Yutani only wanted the Alien Specie, a very dangerous one indeed, for laboratory research in order for that they would have to impregnate her and the little girl and sabotage the remaining crew's hyper cryogen tubes.. (Aliens),
But, She foundherself killing herself in Alien3 in order to protect the universe and human beings and earth from the dangerous monsters that threatened the earth.

Alien Resurrection..
She found herself cloned because the company wanted the queen that was inside of her so desperately..
But in the time, they had some visitors, with their package for the eggs to go into after hatched, to give birth to yet more horrible creatures, but of course that could not contain, they confused a scientists guy into opening the dorr, and they froze him for their revenge..

And The Queen, Raised a New Alien... For Ripley...

Seeing as the queen came from the chest of the cloned Ripley, it gave birth to a human shaped version of the aliens..

So, in the end, the remaining Visitors and the survived clone, foought back to the visitor's ship to leave...
And they left to a earth that was left destroyed..

Alien VS Predator Starts off as Weyland Picks up a Signal from a deserted area in the antartic,
They get there to discover that there hole diggin already been done for them,
so, what they dont know is that, the Predator's were preparing ...
Whilst secretly pressing on a silent stone that enabled the final doom, they did not know..

Before they knew it, they were under sieged by two of the most deadliest sources..after all this they contained the predator's weapon, which it was after in order to restor chaos in the pyramid,

So, the girl becomes the only surviver and gives it's gun, soon they are a working pair together who fight the aliens back, struggles, bombs them, then both peg it for the nearest exit..
Soon they are confronted by the queen..the predator fails, but together they force the queen a life time of coldness!

So, whilst on board his ship, the dead pred laid to rest...
When left alone, an alien popped out of his chest...
to be continued...
Alien VS Predator 2...
It continues from there...
And this tiny town is doomed, on earth..
Whilst it's living it's normal lives, a son and his dad go hunting, and whilst hunting a meteorite falls down, but no, this wasnt just a rock from a planet..

Shortly, the son and father disapear, and their neighbours force the police to let them go looking for them, unknown to the certain doom, whilst Rick plays about with his to be girlfriend

Then a lady from the US army comes home to her daughter and husband, again unknown to their problems,

so the queen alien, which is also a half predator, comes into play and is quite superior, he also acts like a face hugger but instead of one alien he produces into one of his victims,he produces 3 or 4 per victim..

so, before they knew it, the coast guard was down with their m,iilitary forces comin in to help..

But nothing could stop this force, and b4 they knew it, their hospital(That became a certain doom too) was overfilled with aliens and humans..

Soon a group of people had to make a decision wherever they would risk their chances on survivng to the hospital for the helicopter or to the centre of town..they split up, both goin seperate ways..

Only to find out the military planned on nukeing the town to stop the from spreading it's infection..

Now, if you tell me these arent good plots for movie trilogys, sequels or a plot for a lot of movies..then you dont have a very good taste in movies.. plus its kinda SCI-FI horror, so if you dont like SCI-FI then you aint gonna like these, so no point in watching it just to moan..

Reviews

If I could give it less stars, I would

Okay, I was quite honestly disappointed with this film. And I will happily admit that I liked its predecessor, which, unlike this film, I at least found watchable.

Okay, first off, the lighting in this film was terrible. I mean, you can't see what's going on half the time.

Secondly, I found the acting quite bad. I'm all up for recruiting fresh talent and new faces, but some of the roles should go to the more experienced.

My third and final main complaint about this film is a very disappointing ending. I have no wish to spoil the ending to those who haven't seen it, but I was left hoping and wishing it hadn't ended the way it had.

To summarise, to those who are considering watching this movie, my advise is; Don't! Save your time and money

CGI nightmare
Review date: 2008-10-22 Rating: 2 out of 10

This film is terrible there is no getting away from it, someone told me it is better than the first which is true but its like saying Eastenders is better than hollyoaks where both are clearly complete drivel but one is slightly better than the other.

The characters are highly annoying and you end up waiting for them to die which luckily most do.

The most irritating thing about this film is that it has the usual crappy cgi effects in it which is destroying cinema, you no the type its the 'we'll set it at night and make it rainy so you never really get a good look at the predators and aliens fighting, but we will pretend the effects are awesome'

overall avoid this its completely cheap

Feeling very sorry for itself
Review date: 2008-10-11 Rating: 2 out of 10

What a sad and tired old franchise this has become! Without even a pretence of a story-line, "Alien vs Predator 2" is simply a string of gory set scenes about as entertaining to watch as a motorway pile-up. I suppose that fans of the classic originals could amuse themselves during the 94 minutes of this film by trying to count just how many iconic storyboard pages (and even lines of dialogue) have been lifted and strung together to form this mess. If they were really, really, bored...

Yes it's rubbish....
Review date: 2008-10-10 Rating: 4 out of 10

Yeah its rubbish but I didn't expect it to be anything else after reading these reviews.

It is too dark. You want to see two of Film Sci-fi icons going toe-to-toe for twelve rounds but you can't see what the hell is going on.

The characters are paper thin so you not really bothered what happens to them and of course the only women who happens to be on leave from the army is a poor man's Ripley and just happens to be able to fly helicopters...gee that's lucky maybe it's covered in basic training.

It's like the writers looked at the first few films and though `let's just try and copy the good bits and shove them in this film'. How come it's always dark and it's always raining? There is a scene where the armored tank is racing through the town in an obvious rip off of the troop carrier sequence in Aliens.

The whole town just gets `nuked' and I thought ...hmm how are you going to explain that one to middle America?....so let's just end the film before we have to do that.

Also the final sequence made no sense to me at all!

Oh and the extras on the DVD last for about 10 seconds...what's the point?
