You can record your favourite tracks in MP3 or ATRAC3plus format on its Memory Stick Duo and listen to music as you move about, or watch films, music videos or your own footage in UMD format. The large screen and high-quality stereo sound will make you believe you're holding a cinema in the palm of your hand! For digital camera owners, the PSP system will save your best photos on its Memory Stick Duo and create a superb slideshow to impress your friends.Whether you're on the move, at the office or around the house, any time you need a distraction, the stylish PSP Slim & Lite has just the entertainment solution you need. The PSP Slim & Lite is smaller and lighter than its predecessor. The battery life has been extended and the charge time and back-lighting improved. Want the latest console? Here's how to get it for a fiver
Review date: 2008-11-21 Rating: 10 out of 10

Christmas is coming so save your cash! Why purchase something you can get for a fiver.

Go to consolegifts.net and sign up. Complete ONE offer- I would recommend Gala Bingo (you know, the one Sharon Osborne advertises for on tv),as this is cheap and fun (and you might win some money in the process!). If you really don't want to spend, there is a free Lovefilm trial.

All companies are well known so there is no risk involved- give it a go! I got my Ipod and many other things this way, so don't miss out.

I was a sceptic once but now I am SO glad I gave it a chance. BBC approved this system on their Newsnight programme a while back.

Many items to choose from; PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS Lite or even an PSP.

They send your gift Free of charge

Enjoy!

brilliant piece of kit
Review date: 2008-11-06 Rating: 10 out of 10

I think Abi's review is totally missing the point and should know how to use it first before making things up.

Doesn't have Internet options? You know you have to have a connection first yeah? LOL.

I also have a PS3 and got the play TV for it and can't wait to stream live TV to my PSP. Looking forward to having SAT NAV on it soon as well. Got loads of films lined up as well as mp3's too oh and I heard it plays games as well, lol.

It looks really polished and cool but agree with other posters that the underneath could have been better but perhaps a decent case will help that.

Great buy for those who know what it can do.

What a piece of rubbish
Review date: 2008-10-31 Rating: 2 out of 10

I bought a PSP about a month ago, and i can truly say it is terrible

The screen will crack really easily, the games are not fun atall, it has no online features, and it is just terrible.

If you want a good gaming mahcine, get a DS
It has lots of excellent games, the screens wont scratch as you can close it and it feels like it wouldnt shatter if you dropped it from 10 inches (unline the psp)

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Not a games console
Review date: 2008-09-08 Rating: 10 out of 10

The PSP is really a multimedia player, supporting photos, MP3's and video on it's large screen, as well as a decent internet and games support.
The games and UMD's released for it, however, are a joke.

I think that Sony should scrap the idea of a UMD based console and re-release it as a games compatable multimedia player, with a faster processor, built in solid state memory (like the ipod has) and a touch screen & stylus.

Either way, a good quality multimedia player as it is, at a low price with (now) cheap memory.

Connectivity? I wouldn't know.
Review date: 2008-09-04 Rating: 2 out of 10

If you are having problems connecting to the internet then forget about updating it. Although the Sony site instructs updating through the memory card the interface has no updating option other than through the intenet so if you can't make the connection you are knackered. In editing the internet connection settings it doesn't retain the previous edit and there's only so often you can enter a 28 digit WEP key to no effect on the cumbersome text input without wanting to ram the thing down Mr Sony's throat. The help and contact details on the site take you to FAQ's and no contact details. Not impressed.
