As bad as 'True Movies' Review date: 2008-01-19 Rating: 4 out of 10 Decided to purchase this box set as it looked like extremely good value for the number of episodes and length. Unfortunately I had never seen an episode before and if I had it would definitely have put me off. The acting is worse than in the 'made for TV' movies from the States and the cinematography reminds me of those Australian soaps set in the outback that used to be on in the afternoons. The plot is vaguely similar to the movie of the same name but I can understand why it only lasted one series. My advice would be to spend a little extra and get a quality product like 'The Sopranos', 'The Shield' or 'The Wire'. Even 'Sleeper Cell' looks like an Emmy winner compared to this.
