"Wait 'til your paranoid right wing father gets home!"
Review date: 2008-01-22 Rating: 10 out of 10

A worthy successor to parent show Family Guy, this show tells the misadventures of an ultra right wing CIA Agent and his long suffering family.
The characters are great. Stan Smith, the dad of the title is more capable than Family Guy's Peter Griffin, but just as blinkered. He calls "French toast" smelly and ungrateful and prefers it to be known as "american toast", has a questionable attraction to his gun and a fear of liberals.
Wife Francine is a housewife who lacks ambition but every so often strikes out on her own.
Their children are the geeky Steve and ultra left wing Hayley. Completing teh family are a German athlete who's mind has been put in a fish Klaus (watch the pilot for the back story) and needy, TV and celebrity obsessed gender bending alien Roger.
There are some great set ups e.g. Stan having Francine's memory erased when he forgets a wedding anniversary, Roger apparently dying and the CIA hunting him as the area 51 alien who previously escaped and Stan being sent to Arabia as a punishment and finding it's to his taste.
The jokes fly thick and fast e.g. Roger telling Stan "Oh by the way your skin cream did wonders for my 'roids, well if you won't let me out of the house to buy my own I guess we're ointment buddies!", Stan saying "Should, well we don't live in Shouldland. Ah Shouldland, what a wonderful place!" and Roger's retort "yes I'm an alien and I have claws. You're awfully fat. See? Kitty can scratch!"
There are also some great turns from Patrick Stewart voicing CIA Deputy Director Bullock.
There are some anti-veil jokes and an anti Saudi-Arabia t9one that will be likely to offend some, but at least the show hates George W..
Great commentaries and featurettes make a superb package!

5 Star Show - 3 Star Dvd
Review date: 2007-11-16 Rating: 6 out of 10

This is a great show. The only reason I haven't yet purchased it( I borrowed it), is that it isn't the whole of season 1, even though the way it's advertised would lead you to believe it was.
So untill Season 1 is released as a complete season 1 I won't be buying it, I'll settle for re-runs on T.V.

Family guy's evil twin? I don't know...
Review date: 2007-09-27 Rating: 10 out of 10

This was a side project from family guy made by Seth McFarlane. I don't think he expected it to get this big but...wow! This is amazing. It's funny like family guy. Has the same sized family (if you include the alien and the goldfish) and is just...like a parallel universe to Family Guy. But does that make it bad? No!

It tries to show how idiotic some (not all obviously) republicans can be. It makes the CIA seem completely incompetent and yet this feels perfect.

If your an american patriot, stay clear. This DVD set is amazing with my favourite episode being 'Stan of Arabia'.

Buy it. Then Amazon can make profit Mwahahahaha!!!

NOT THE FULL 1ST SEASON
Review date: 2007-09-15 Rating: 10 out of 10

I got this and Vol 2, thinking i had 2 full seasons of this FAB show. According to epguides.com, this is the first half of Season 1 and Vol 2 is the rest of the 1st season. No sign of the real Season 2 yet though :(

Who the hell is reviewing this for 5****!!
Review date: 2007-08-22 Rating: 4 out of 10

Don't get it twisted, I am a ex uni student, the reason why my disso was below par was due to the amount of family guy and halo we played. And you know what, I can openly admit that as Amy Whinehouse said "they tried to make me go to rehab and I said no"

Damn there was a point where all the guys could turn round and a sentence could be muttered or an action made and we would all get the joke. example mate walks in to a table and rubs his knee non stop for 5 mins breathing in & out like an asthmatic without a pump had us in stitches for hours or the occasional gigidy out the blue from someone making an inappropriate but well placed inuando.

("we have been cured by the relatively less funny season 4, and the fact growing up is inevitable")

But before you invest in absulote pain and tremendous eye gouging torture then save your hard earned sterling and invest in
Futurama, Red Dwarf or even watch paint dry on the side of a freshly smashed bus shelter.

Anything is better then this future dvd rack space reserver.
