An interesting experiment.

Nosferatu is a first person shooter. The basic concept of the game involves you trudging around a castle, freeing your friends, and destroying vampires. But there's a HUGE twist. Every time you play the game, core sections of the castle are "randomly generated", and therefore the layout is rather different every time you play it. The visuals aren't incredible, but they do the job, as does the audio design. The main draw, of course, is the unique level design. However there's a big negative: a very strict time-limit, preventing much exploration, and the main reason I've given Nosferatu 3/5. But a good 3, verging on 4.

So for horror fans, go and play Clive Barker's Undying, and Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines first. If you've caned both as much as I have, you may then find some fun in this game. It's nothing special, but it's certainly above average.

Nosferatu the wrath of malachi
Review date: 2006-09-24 Rating: 10 out of 10

This is a really really creepy gothic horror. The sounds effects are excellent and make you jump. The monsters appear from everywhere. The weapons take ages to load until you get to the part of the game where you get a machine gun. I,ve managed to find the garrison key once but I got killed so many times I gave up eventually. One of things that is most annoying about this game is, unlike most other games on the net, there are hardly any cheats for this. It would be really handy for the first few times you play it, so you dont have to keep on getting killed all the time.(unlike Undying where there are loads of cheats) You constantly have to save the game from where you left off.The only cheat I want is a health cheat, to make you invulnerable, so that I could actually manage to get throught the damn game at least once without getting killed all the time. All in all, a really good creepy game, but annoying without some cheats to help. If anyone knows of any health cheats for this game I,d be gratefull.
