Smallville: The Complete Second Season
The complexity of the writing and the issues dealt with in series 2 marked Smallville as a series with depth and drama worthy of its considerable fan following as well as a second boxed set; fittingly, the supplements in this set are more expansive than on the first one. Producers Alfred Gough, Miles Millar and Greg Beeman and cast members Welling, Rosenbaum and Kristen Kreuk weigh in on commentary tracks for two episodes ("Red" and "Rosetta"), while a trio of short featurettes explore Christopher Reeves' appearance in "Rosetta", the show's visual effects and the amusing "Wall of Weird" web page maintained by Chloe (Allison Mack). The extras are rounded out by a handful of deleted scenes and a gag reel. --Paul Gaita ReviewsSmallville is maturing into a great show Review date: 2007-02-27 Rating: 8 out of 10 The first season of Smallville was good enough but nothing special but it is during this second season that the show really hits its stride. This season is less of the monster-of-the-week type show that it was during the first season and has some nice plot arcs throughout that see the relationship between Clark and Lana grows stronger and Clark learns more about who he is and where he comes from. The greatest highlight of the season and the series so far, is the episode Rosetta guest staring Christopher Reeve, which was a great way to pass the torch from one generations Superman to another. Although this season is not the best Smallville has to offer, it is still superior to the first season. Why do I like it? Why do you(will you) like it? Review date: 2006-07-05 Rating: 8 out of 10 In my younger years when smallville first came out I was enchanted by this show, hypnotized you might even say. Because honestly. Clark Kent has a coconut as thick as molasses (oooooh fire bad, tree pretty! *goes and hits Lana with a club*) And Lana... Whoa! Constantly a drama queen and Clark just loves to be a pretty victim's hero (tee hee). Clark would usually go up to his parents and say "Uh... I met this dude who's bionic..Huh hu!" and his parents, having an alien son would say "ooh, maybe you're crazy.... You're an alien but we're very close-minded with the idea of anything else in the world.. hu hu" But now I have come to realize that it is because of the wonderful sound track that is Smallville that has entangled me in it's midst. The music of season 1, 2 and 6 (those are the seasons I've see so far) is absolutely fantastic. The thing that most shows and movies nowa days lack is good music. It doesn't matter even if the movie is terrible. Music changes everything. I'm not saying Smallvill is terrible. In fact it's quite fun and amusing and occasionally makes me LOL. But it's very simple and easy to follow and nothing uber serious like, say, for example as in the X-files which I must admit Smallville sometimes goes X-files an' Clark's best friend goes all Mulder on us and investigates crud like that. Anyhoos.. Although Clark is kinda thick he is cute.... I mean.. Super..(so is Lex :D ) It's a fun show is all. You should get it because I really enjoyed it and mocking Lana's dramatic scenes is fun, too. So BUY IT! :D Best series ever created Review date: 2005-09-04 Rating: 10 out of 10 best series ever created,i have never missed a episode and looking forward to the next and the next hopefully will go on for a long time could there be a better super man movie Review date: 2005-03-04 Rating: 10 out of 10 i first thought this smallville thing was crap. being a scifi fan i hungered for a reall scifi movie with stunning suspense and action and smallville has it all. not only is it the best but its a serries with new stories and unbelivable action. after watching season 1 i looked forward for season 2 and this, is a must see for scifi fans. i am looking foward to see if after lexs' hair was lost during the meteor shower, he gained no powers.
