ReviewsPs2 chucked aside? No way! Review date: 2008-10-07 Rating: 10 out of 10 I love the PS2, and I wouldent give it up primarily because there is a new console coming out. It's disturbing to see how PS2 gets chucked aside just because it's a few years old! (My mates done this, he has an XBOX... In saying that he didnt have any decent games for the PS2...) Okay, so the graphics are considered as inferior, but that's only because there been compared to a current gen console! Thats not fair. What so ever. Let us not forget that this console is nearly a decade old, and it's still powerful. If it was not as great as people are making out, then why are developers still designing games for it? They are still selling! And for £75, it is a real steal. Literally. Games go really cheap, so you would be mad not to have it. You cannot play ps2 games on ps3 so if you dont get one of these you might never play ps2 games, they are dying out! the first of it's generation Review date: 2008-03-06 Rating: 10 out of 10 i had a PS2 with MGS2 as my first game and i was blown away. the Ps2 was the first of its generation so i went from playing PS1 games and some PC games to the PS2 which was incredible at the time. all the Xbox and gamecube owners who say that the PS2 has crap graphics need to remeber that it came out a year before both of theses consoles. it has a huge selection of games and don't believe people who say that they are all crap or average. it has lots of great games like Metal Gear Solid 2, Devil May Cry 3, Killzone, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Dynasty Warriors 4 to name some. add to that your favourite PS1 games and DVDs and you've got alot of hours you can spend on this machine. my PS2 did break but it was after around 4 years. i'm considering buying a new one (even though i have an XBox 360 and Xbox) just to play some of my favourite games again. it's old time to move on Review date: 2008-02-23 Rating: 6 out of 10 i got my first ps2 in 2003 becuse someone said its better than the xbox so i took there advise and got a ps2 and after a year i was unhappy with it,so i went got an xbox which i should have got from the start. i got far more out of the xbox then i ever did with my ps2 which i now only use as a dvd player i,ve only ever liked about 11 games and afew others which i wanted to see how they differ from there xbox counterparts. but its now 2008 time to let the outdated ps2 console retire. which the xbox did before it became to old and stale (very smart move,mirosoft).
