Amazon.co.uk Review

The Lizzie McGuire Movie spins around the axis of Disney Channel starlet Hilary Duff, whose glossy good looks and rather mature figure are balanced by a sweetly bashful persona and an endearing klutziness. On a school trip to Rome, Lizzie is discovered to be the virtual twin of an Italian pop star named Isabella--and her dreamy former partner wants Lizzie to take Isabella's place at an award show to avoid a lawsuit. Only Lizzie's loyal best friend Gordo (Adam Lamberg) suspects that Paolo may not be all that he seems. The Lizzie McGuire Movie is competent fluff, with the most fun to be had coming from Lizzie's pesky little brother (Jake Thomas) and his Machiavellian friend Melina (Carly Schroeder), who plot to humiliate Lizzie for fun and personal gain. It also features Alex Borstein as Lizzie's tyrannical principal and chaperone. --Bret Fetzer

Lizzie becomes famous!!!!! COOLNESS
Review date: 2008-02-21 Rating: 10 out of 10

This movie is about a teenager called Lizzie who goes on a school trip to the other side of the world in Rome and has a great time, and one day she meets a anther famous young star singer and agrees to sing with him on stage in front of a big audience. It is a dream for Lizzie,as she always wanted to be a great singer. but all the glam and pretend act of his wealthy charm (the singer) fades away and Lizzie see's that he is not so special and kind as she thought, by the help of hr friends. A light hearted film, with a simple story. The movie is a bit unrealistic, but it is fun to watch and it makes you feel like you want to get up and dance and that your there having a great time like Lizzie!
The film is quite caltrol as it has some famous sights there and that always makes the movie a little bit more special!
I liked it and that is what is important to me and I'm sure if you get it you will like it too.

Strictly for Young Girls
Review date: 2006-12-29 Rating: 6 out of 10

If you have a young girl - 10 - 14 years old - in your household, then she may well love this film. Particularly if she fantasises about becoming an international pop star in the holidays. That, pretty well, is the story line for this film. If you are not in this age bracket then you should avoid this. It is dull, surprisingly unfunny, and annoyingly smug in so many ways. But, as I say, young girls seem to like it.

good for lizzie mcguire fans

this is more of a love movie that anything else. it was a good tale but was a bit dull. i am a hilary duff fan but this isnt her best.

Good movie especially for kids
Review date: 2006-05-14 Rating: 10 out of 10

The Lizzie McGuire movie is a spin off of the tv show and i think fans will be pleased. Lizzie McGuire goes to Rome with her best friend Gordr before they start High School while there she is the spitting image of Italien pop sensation Isabella. Paulo the other part of the duet asks for Lizzie's help to perform at a music award show to save Isabeela from being sued which is a lie so he can embarass Isabells and make out she lip synchs but it is him that lip synchs. but at the end of the day Isabella and Lizzie team up together and embarass Paulo.

in this movie you can hear the talent of Hilaty Duffs singing which made me buy the soundtrack. the story line may not be convincing but the target audience are small kids who would not even notice the story line was unrealistic but find the movie amusing so this movie is perfect for its target audience and for the adults that watch this with thrie kids you get some of the beautiful scenery of Rome for insatnce the Trevi Fountain. but in the movie some of the visual effects are obvious like when they turn to the back of hilarys head you can see that the audience have been added in later.

the best extra on the dvd has to be the making of The Lizzie McGuire Movie as it shows how they made the movie and give some facts on Rome.

Hope this review helped you
