Ugly!
Review date: 2008-03-08 Rating: 8 out of 10

I played this game a few months ago and I sold it because I found it boring, but its one of those games where you feel like playing them again.

I remember how grim it was but in a good way, so I will be placing a second order to buy it. :D

Midnight Nowhere
Review date: 2004-05-04 Rating: 2 out of 10

This game was a first for me as I actually uninstalled it after playing for a very short time. Where do I start? The graphics were poor and the controls worse. The "hero" was totally unlikeable and his mindless comments made me reluctant to try anything. Yes, the content is sick, but I bought this game believing it to be an adventure and found no excitement in it whatsoever. I should have followed my instincts after playing the demo and not wasted my money.

I found this game disturbing, strange, and boring!

I recently bought this game, and although my mum wasn't happy with me buying it, she finally gave in. The age restriction on the game is for 16 and over, and I am 16, and found that the game was just about suitable, although it should carry some proper warnings about content.

I was really excited when I bought it as I love point and click adventures such as the early Simon the Sorcerors and Broken Sword, but was unbelievably disappoited with this game. The puzzles were boring and repetitive, mainly based on finding keys in draws etc, and the characters and situations were completly unbelievable and strange. There main character, who wakes up in a body bag, encounters numerous dead bodies with body parts missing and blood everywhere, who had been murdered by a knike weilding madman (i presume, its never really explained!!), and he did not even blink an eye. I remeber him saying at one point when he found another murder victim, something like 'oh, there's another one then'!!

overall, i would save the money you were going to spend on this game, and put it towards a different, cheaper point and click games, such as Broken Sword 1 and 2, which are available in game. much better games and much better value for money!!

Good game but ......

This game is in its own right a good point and click adventure come horror, the storyline is certainly different to anything ive played before and the graphics are in detail, however my real reason for writing this review is to state my concerns over the age rating given to this game, it is the first game of its kind that i have come across that contains the amount of swearing that this one does, it also contains pictures of objects of a sexual nature, dismembered body parts and reference to drugs. Near the begining you use an axe to remove the thumb on a dead body, this in itself is carried out in no way in detail but coupled with the rest of the content, i strongly believe,as a parent and someone who regularly plays these types of games for a website, that this game really deserves a rating of 18 or adult only, i personally would not be happy if i found my 11 year old child playing it, please bare all this in mind before playing this game with children around or allowing them to play it.

Totally cool horror stuff

I have played this game most of the way thru so far and it's way cool. You have to put up with the point and click stuff but the story is great & I love the main character, Sergei, and all of the one liners he comes out with. Brilliant, if you're a fan of Bruce Cambell or Sam Reimi horror stuff you'll love it.
