This really is a spectacular viewing experience!! I was thrilled, amazed, and overawed at the incredible skills displayed...and that was just the little boy's performance!! The adults are just awesome!! Extraordinary feats of physical strength and endurance combined with a genuine spiritual feel. I was left uplifted and humbled....and gagging to watch it again!

The extra's on the DVD are well worth having 2 very good documentaries that give background on the production of the show from the very begining as well as a bit on life at the shaolin temple. (e.g. interview with the abbot)

If your interested in martial arts you'll find this very interesting, if your not, you may still enjoy the fascinating culture and amazing skill.

Alright now all the filsm with the martial arts on may look good, but THIS is the real deal! If you like martial arts then you have to buy this! These guys do everything themselves, no tricks or nothing and have trained to perform like this as it's what they do, not because it will get them a pay check and they are really good at it! So if you are a martial arts fan don't bother with the films where they use stunt doubles and all imagery, get this instead, you will NOT be disappointed.
