This is a fantastic little collection of stories from the hulks history; fantastic for newer readers of the hulk. It includes, amongst others, the origin of the hulk, the first real fight between Ben "the Thing" Grimm and the hulk featuring the avengers, also a story featuring a battle between the hulk and the rhino.
These stories are from the early days of the hulk, so work well as stand alone stories as there is not a great deal of history for you to be familiar with and you don't have to have read 3 other titles just to know whats going on.
There is the first issue of the defenders and also there is the future imperfect story line which sees the hulk hurtling through time and meeting his future self as the maestro.
Of course no hulk compilation would be complete without an appearence from the abomination. A great, more recent story with an ending which almost leaves you feeling sorry for the abomination rather than the hulk.
All in all, a fantastic read, the only problem is that a lot of these stories have featured in other collections, but provided you don't have an extensive collection of hulk comics you should be ok!
