Very refreshing writing style!
Review date: 2000-07-14 Rating: 8 out of 10
Anyone who's met Michael will have noticed that Michael simply speaks what on his mind. And Michael writes just the way he speaks, which makes for some very refreshing reading! I'm looking forward to book #3.

A must for all UK Sci-Fi "appreciators"
Review date: 2000-01-02 Rating: 10 out of 10
I met Michael at a SCI-FI convention back in July 99, and he was very charming, every bit the star, and certainly enjoyed the day, like all the fans there, despite the cramped, hot and crowed conditions! A true professional.
Which is making "Yes Admiral" an even more of an enjoyable read when I got it as a Christmas present, from my wife, direct from Summersdale Publishers, where Michael did and will happily enscribe your copy, at no extra cost.... I think its a great book with such a vast array of sci-fi experiences.... (++Get it signed as it will add that "It'll be worth millions" personal touch!++) If you cant meet Michael at a convention (book's are £5 each!!!) then get these books as soon as you can, try to find Summersdale and get them signed!, cause it throws a lot of new light on to all your Sci-fi hero's! ... it really did keep me up till 3am yesterday.. you old bugger (He knows what I mean!) - I'm looking forward to reading more tonight, and then meeting Michael in person soon to get a signed copy of "Yes Mr Bronson"
Very enjoyable, thanks Michael!
BRING ON VOLUME THREE!!
Review date: 1999-11-24 Rating: 10 out of 10
I bought aa copy of "Yes, Admiral" from Michael at a book signing in Guildford and I have to say that Michael Sheard is every bit as charming, witty and entertaining as his book suggests. He stayed long after the signing was over and obviously relished in chatting to his fans, or "appreciators" as he likes to call us. Thank-you Michael for providing us with this second installment of your memoirs, and please don't wait thirty years for the next one!
Beam me up....

An immensely enjoyable journey through numerous sci-fi conventions with a host of famous characters. I've promised myself, and all my friends to whom I lent a copy of this book, that we'd be at the next convention.
science fiction fun
Review date: 1999-11-24 Rating: 10 out of 10
This book is a must for anyone interested in science-fiction, Sheadon knows everything there is to know about everyone you need to know in the business and offers a delightful glimpse at the behind-the-scenes world. He has a humourous anecdote for every occasion and obviously enjoys sharing them. There are not many books where it is so obvious how much fun the author had in 'researching' and writing it, but this is one of them.
