This is the best thing I've read from Marvel in decades. The Utimates are a decent re-telling of some classic stories etc. But this! Wow, it shakes the Marvel Universe to its foundations (unlike the rather tame Civil War saga) and it stars the most powerful characters in Marvel. Annihilus, Drax, Ronan, The Silver Surfer (+ all the other heralds) Galactus, Thanos, Nova, and many many more.

Best of all there is no Fantastic Four, no x-Men, and no Avengers. It's almost pure Sci-Fi told within the Marvel Universe framework.

This is book 3, and you MUST read the other books first (Book 1: Annihilation Book 1 TPB: Bk. 1 (Annihilation) and Book 2 Annihilation Book 2 TPB: Bk. 2 (Annihilation), you will seriously kick yourself if you read this first.

The story ends in a great climax of war, action, betrayal and The Power Cosmic. There is some filler in here, but it doesn't detract from one of the best (Marvel) stories ever told. I seriously recommend you read this.
