This is the best Inhumans story since Jah Lee and Paul Jenkins work at the end of the last century and has cameo appearances from some of the newer inhumans that Jenkins and Lee created. The artwork is particularly unusual for a Marvel-story but works well. The six chapters are each narrated by a different character - subsequently entitled 'the warrior',(Gorgon) 'the child',(Luna) 'the mother,(Crystal)' 'the lover,(Medusa)' 'the hero'(Sentry) and 'the madman'(Maximus) . The Mighty Avengers, the FF and X-Factor all make appearances and the book ends on a fairly bleak and shocking cliff-hanger.
Highly imaginative and very well-written - this is a story with dark undertones and refreshingly interesting art. In my opinion one of the best creations from the Marvel corporation.
