A great introduction and story to set you up for Planet Hulk and WWHulk

Ok out of all the Marvel heroes whose comics i follow, the Hulk is probably the one i know the least about. I've never read any of the old material but started reading this latest volume (3) about a year ago starting with issue #1 and have just finished the planet Hulk TPB (ends on #91 i think). For me volume 3's various stories and arcs were hit and miss to be honest, it seemed like each writer tried something totally new each time because the last story arc just didn't work, so theres been quite a mixture of good and bad in the 100 or so issues so far in this volume. That is until this prelude to Planet Hulk... which was the first story which really seemed to 'get' the hulk. It's a great read and has everything you want from a Hulk story- a good build up, a sense huge destruction coming, then suddenly lots of action all at once, all ending with a great cliff hanger which leaves you gasping for the next story which is the huge Planet Hulk storyline. As i've said this was the first story (with the excpetion of maybe one) in the whole volume which i'd read that i really enjoyed and couldn't wait to read the next chapter of. Theres never been a better time to start reading the Hulk, yes its currently on issue #111 in shops but i've read this volume since issue #1 and don't think anyone who starts the series with this TPB will have missed anything major out. So, get this, then get the Planet Hulk TPB (issues #92 to #105)and then you'll be where i currently am- desperate to read the Hulks next chapter entitled "World War Hulk" (has been the summers "blockbuster" comics event), the Hard cover edition of the collection which is out in Jan (which i will be buying because i can't wait for the TPB!).
Hope that helps guys.
