Readers should be warned that it takes a huge leap of faith to follow this celebrity psychic across the chasm of doubt to the Other Side. In her opening chapters she explains that she is like the young boy in the movie The Sixth Sense, she sees dead people. When she was a child these "spirits" came into her room at night and disappeared when a light went on. "To this day I can't sleep in a completely dark room, because the minute I try it the room starts filling up", she writes. "As a child, it was scary. As an adult, it's just annoying!"

I have been a firm believer in the afterlife since childhood as it was always talked about freely in my family. However, there were questions i had which i could never find an answer to, even after reading numerous books and having a handful of sittings with mediums. Let me tell you now that this book answered all of my questions and firmly reinforced my beliefs.It also gave me comfort as i have lost both my Parents and particulary miss my Mom and now know what happened to her and what will happen when we are reunited.
I have recommended this book to many people and have lent it out. In all cases it has given them the same comfort and belief.
The book is written in an easy to read style and i literally could not put it down when i first read it. I have read it a few times since too.
Highly recommended if you are curious, want answers or are missing and mourning someone you love. Check out other Slyvia Browne books too. Not all are as good as this one but worth a read. - Enjoy. I hope this helps you.

My belief in all things psychic has always been fairly neutral, I am open to believe, but don't wish to fall under the gullable title, and am therefore careful to ensure all logic has been accounted for first. I was given this book as a gift and decided to start it at the weekend - mistake...as absolutely nothing else got done all weekend...this is a captivating and compelling read and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I genuinely do feel spiritually different, and am now a firm believer in the afterlife, as many of the areas in this book do indeed ring true to things which I just brushed off as 'over-active' mind. It brings great comfort to know that there is more to life than this current world we live in, and to know that you are going to spend eternity with the people you love and cherish.

I am an open minded person and a believer but I cannot believe that Sylvia Browne has become re-known for her "psychic" gifts. I believe there are many people gifted in this way out there but she is not one of them. I have read a number of books on this subject but have never felt as deeply sceptical about any of them but this book I think really shows Sylvia Browne in the true light of what she really is - a shameless fake.

I bought this book in the interest that she actually was genuine and honest.....how wrong I was!
The book starts off with other people saying how great she is and how amazing her powers (or gift) have helped literally thousands in finding out about the afterlife. Unfortunatly, it then creeps ever so more into trying to convert a christian faith onto you and that is where I had had enough.
This is a great book....of Fiction, but as an actual account of the afterlife it is a devious way of giving false hope to insecure people that they are going to this place called "home"!

I can ony say thia book was an affirmation of the truth for me, it resonated with something deep inside me, put my doubts to rest [for example feeling that this life is transient but now knowing for sure has really calmed m] & I can say changed me somewhat overnight & dare I say has also changed my life foreve.My anxieties about the future" ,my fear of death, of after-life is gone & most importantly knowing that God loves us & cares for every one of us.
