This is such a good story,I have read it over and over.It's about Laddie,a farmer's son who falls in love with the girl next door,nicknamed The Princess.The course of true love doesn't run smooth and there are so many slips betwixt cup and lip you begin to despair that they'll ever get together.But never fear,Gene Stratton Porter wields her usual magic wand,and things turn out all right in the end.
It all sounds very simple,and maybe it is,but there are so many other stories in here,and so many interesting characters,as well as humour,that it ends up being a book you'll want to read again and again.
