Consequently, just when she thinks she has her life sussed out, up rears temptation in the form of old flame, Laughing Dave. The dialogue is spot on and her relationships with friends, family, ex-boyfriends and pets are perfectly drawn. Support characters get a lot more page time here than in the first two books, and this adds to the pleasure--baby sister Libby who, at her halloween party, concusses her small guests with a pumpkin lantern is a particular joy, as is Georgia' dappy best friend, who is seemingly oblivious to her mate's teenage angst, yet always comes through in the end. Georgia's adventure's are consistently touching, warm, funny and real, and make for perfect teen reading. In the latest instalment in the hilarious confessions of Georgia Nicolson, following on from Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging and It's OK I'm wearing Really Big Knickers, Georgia is now totally in love with Sex God (SG) and has changed her address to Snogging HeadQuarters, Snogging Lane, Snoggington on account of all the lip-action she is getting these days. But her love is tested when she is dragged off to Scotland for a week to a cottage so remote that the only entertainment is hanging around the local Alldays supermarket, a situation made worse by the fact that SG has a big gig coming up and it looks as though the band have a record contract just within their grasp, leaving poor Georgia something of a "pop widow".

The third in the series by Louise Rennison about the fifteen year old school girl Georgia Nicholson, this is just as good as the previous two. It is in Georgia's words 'vair vair funny' indeed.
Not much has changed. Georgia is still madly in love with Robbie The Sex God and having trouble reconciling it with her desire to snog Dave The Laugh. All is as it should be in the world of teenage angst.
If this was all there was to these books they would be very tiresome by now, but for me it is the ridiculous antics of the Ace Gang at Stalag 14 or school as it is more commonly known, and the lovely relationship she has with her parents who annoy her by refusing to be middle aged and sensible, and her crazy three year old sister Libby.
Oh! and in this book we have the treat of the blossoming romance in the life of the most lunatic and deranged cat in book history, Angus and his dreams of conquering the flirty Burmese Naomi from over the road.
Laugh out loud funny.

The whole series of these books are hilarious and well worth reading. I dont really enjoy reading but i read a lot more since reading these books. I could recommend them to anyone 12+.
I did not read these books in order but i have since found that this is the first one to read. Louise is a very talented writer!

This is the diary of Georgia Nicolson. It contains entries about her family, friends, boys, school, grandparents, parties, enemies and many other things. It is v. funny, and quite a lot like a modern-day female Adrian Mole. Amazing. For ages of about 12-16.

This is the hilarious diary and thoughts of Georgia Nicolson, a typical teenager who is going through all of the confusion and challenges of boys, school, friends, family and so much more. It shows the funny side of life as a teenager and it is even better as it is so much like real-life.
Georgia is the main character and she tells us what she is feeling from one minute to the next. She writes about her friends, her boyfriend Robbie, who she seems obsessed with which most girls are when they have a new boyfriend.
The themes I think, within this book are first loves, friendship, and relationships with parents and family. In Georgia's eyes her parents seem to be embarrassing and nagging which is what almost every teenager feels at sometime or another.
I think Louise Rennison has perfectly captured what it is like to be a teenager growing up nowadays. The strong points, in my opinion is the humour throughout the whole book which makes it enjoyable to read. Also, the truth within the story from what teenage girls feel and react to things such as what your friends say to you to the way people gossip and poke fun at others in a light-hearted way.
I think another way in which this is a fantastic book is that it is easy to read and so funny that you never want to put it down. I like it because it is as if she is talking to you rather than telling you a story, it doesn't go on describing small things in detail, it is a fast book.
The book's weak point however is that it wont appeal to a wide range of audience as it is aimed at teenage girls rather than younger children, boys or older adults.
