Posh Yarns
Not to be confused with Posh Yarn, who hand dye yarn, Posh Yarns is a blog filled with knitting and sewing, as well as gorgeous pictures of ordinary life and travels about the UK.
One of the things we love about knitting is that it helps us to find the beauty in the small details, and in making sure the small details are right – that every cable is correctly crossed, every yarn over in its place – we can make something small, special. Hand knit socks, for example, turn an ordinary part of getting dressed into something which always makes us smile.
Posh Yarns is packed with these small things, with well thought out sandwiches and hand-made clothes, and is an inspiring place to stop and rest your eyes for a few minutes, particularly if you're eating your own lunch at your desk again.
Of course, there's also rather a lot of knitting, with – of course – some posh and some definitely unsual yarns, making this a great place to pick up new ideas and perhaps inspire you to cast on a new project. And we wouldn't ever say that's a small thing, although life does keep trying to make it seem so!
Read a great blog? Write a great blog? Tell us what it is and why you like it, and you might see it here next Friday.

Mystery of Velvet Revolver's new singer deepens
ThisIsNottingham.co.uk (try saying that after a few pints) recently spoke to Velvet Revolver/Loaded bassist Duff McKagan about… stuff.
McKagan had this to say about VR's current status:
"We have a singer we've been working with for a couple of months and he's actually a product of your fair country [UK] — but I won't say who. But we've also had a very interesting call from someone who's a big, big name, so it would be amazing if that worked out. Slash and I have been fighting adversity our whole careers, so the scenario of upheaval is nothing new."
Erm… isn't Spacehog frontman Royston Langdon (the guy who VR recently denied was their new singer) British?
Whatever, you can read more of Duff's interview here.

'I hope he rots in jail'
Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash has spoken out about the arrest of a blogger who leaked nine tracks from his former band Guns N' Roses' new album, Chinese Democracy.
"I hope he rots in jail," Slash raged. "It's going to affect the sales of the record, and it's not fair. The Internet is what it is, and you have to deal with it accordingly, but I think if someone goes and steals something, it's theft."
The alleged leaker of the tracks, one Kevin Cogill, faces up to three years in prison and $250,000 in fines. On Wednesday he became the first Californian charged under a three-year-old federal anti-piracy law that makes it a felony to distribute a copyrighted work on computer networks before its release.
Guns N' Roses said in a statement: "Presently, though we don't support this guy's actions at that level, our interest is in the original source. We can't comment publicly at this time as the investigation is ongoing."
